The Chequers is a Victorian public house in Walthamstow, East London.
History
The pub was a frequent drinking place for The Krays and other members of The Firm. This was also the pub where The Great Train Robbery in 1963 was planned and was frequented by East End gangsters in the mid 1960s. Ronnie Kray allegedly returned here after the murder of George Cornell at The Blind Beggar pub in Whitechapel.
